Objectives: As a result of this participation in this course, students should:
- Apply the latest research on emergent literacy in their classrooms.
- Understand the role that effacacy and social-referencing play in literacy development..
- Understand the role dialogic reading plays in literacy development.
- Understand ways they can help children build firm literacy foundations through emotional, social, and familial support.
